Collection and processing of personal data
When you visit the ivault.io blog, the web server automatically records the IP address assigned to you by your Internet service provider. It also records the length of your visit, the date, the website from which you access the blog, and the pages you visit on the blog itself. Your email address will be requested in connection with your comment in order to verify whether the comment you have submitted actually originates from you or to protect you for any comments you have incorrectly made. Your email address will be stored in this context to make it easier for you to comment in the future. However, it is not accessible to outsiders and will not be passed on. Further personal data are stored by us exclusively in the context of a registration, a survey, or a competition. In our blog, the authors describe their subjective views on a topic. Readers have the opportunity to respond by commenting on the post. Commentators can use a pseudonym instead of their real name. A valid email address is required, but will not be published.
Please note:

You can also subscribe to our blog as an email newsletter. After the dispatch of the contributions in the newsletter, we have no more possibility to delete or change the data there.
Use of personal data and purpose limitation
ivault uses your data for the technical administration of the ivault.io blog. We transmit personal data to state institutions and authorities only within the framework of mandatory national legal provisions. ivault undertakes to treat your data confidentially.
Disclosure of personal data, right to access, and deletion.
Your personal data is collected and processed so that we can provide you with the information you request and so that we can offer you an optimal service. Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties. You can oppose the use of your personal data for direct marketing. You are entitled to check the accuracy of your personal data at any time and have any inaccuracies corrected. You may also request that your personal data be removed from our files. Stored personal data will be deleted if you revoke your consent to its storage if knowledge of it is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored, or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons. However, if ivault is required by law or court order to do so, we will only disclose your data to government institutions and authorities entitled to receive such information.
Security notice
We make every effort to store your personal data in such a way that it is not accessible to third parties by taking all technical and organizational measures. When communicating by e-mail, we cannot guarantee complete data security, so we recommend that you send confidential information by post. ivault secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. ivault secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. When security-sensitive personal information such as credit card numbers is transmitted, it is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Please be aware that personal information you post in publicly accessible areas, such as guestbooks, etc., can be misused by other users.
Hyperlinks and references
For information purposes, the website contains hyperlinks to websites and offers of third parties. ivault does not assume any liability for the correctness, the content, and the quality of these websites of third parties. A link or reference to other websites does not mean that ivault.io has any connection whatsoever with these offers or would cooperate with them. If you are a website provider and would like to include a hyperlink to ivault’s website on your own website, please contact us here: Contact page.
Cookies
It is possible that ivault’s website uses so-called „cookies“. They serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. They serve to facilitate navigation and greatly support the user-friendliness of our pages. Cookies help us, for example, to identify particularly popular areas of our website. In this way, you enable us to adapt our content even better to your wishes and interests. Most of the cookies we use are so-called „session cookies“. They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. You can set your web browser so that you receive a warning when a cookie is placed, or prevent this. However, you can also disable cookies and still have access to our content. Cookies can also be used to determine whether there has already been communication with our pages from your computer. In doing so, only the previously stored cookie on your computer is identified. The cookie does not contain any personal data.
Web analytics through server statistics and analytics
The ivault.io blog uses server statistics and Piwik. Piwik Analytics uses „cookies“, which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyze how visitors use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address, but anonymized using the _anonymizeIp() method so that it can no longer be associated with any connection) is transmitted to and stored on a server in the United States. ivault uses technical and organizational security measures in order to protect the collected data against manipulation, loss, destruction, and against access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
Social Plugins
ivault uses social plugins (buttons) from social media networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. When you visit our websites, these buttons are deactivated by default, i.e. they do not send any data to third parties without your intervention. Before you can use the buttons, your browser must have accepted the cookies of the respective social media platform. If you use Facebook, for example, you have already accepted these cookies before. After activation, a direct connection is established with the server of the respective social network. The content of the button is then transmitted directly from the social networks to your browser, which then integrates it into the website.
We provide the buttons to offer you more options on our Internet pages. Please note that we have no control over the data collected by the social networks you use. For the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the respective social networks, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the privacy information of the respective social networks. If you are logged into a social network, it can assign your visit to the ivault.io website to your user account. After logging in to Facebook or Twitter, the social network may already collect data regardless of whether you interact with the button. If you are a member of a social network and do not want it to associate the information collected when you visit our websites with your stored membership information, you must log out of that social network before activating the buttons. You should also close and restart your browser window before visiting our blog or ivault’s website.
Modification of these provisions
ivault reserves the right to change these security and data protection measures as far as this becomes necessary due to technical progress. In these cases, we will also adjust our privacy policy accordingly. Therefore, please always refer to the latest version of our privacy policy on ivault.io.
Further information
Your trust is important to us. Therefore, we would like to answer your questions regarding the processing of your personal data at any time. If you have any questions that are not answered by this privacy policy or if you would like more detailed information on any point, please contact our support team directly at support@ivault.app.
